The Backstory

ChadandWick is a visionary commercial interior design studio, led by founder Liana Chadwick.

With over a decade of experience, Liana combines her expertise as director and curator to lead a talented team of women who are redefining the industry and smashing the glass ceiling with every project. Together, they bring a fresh approach to commercial interiors, creating memorable, one-of-a-kind spaces.

Liana and I had established a strong working relationship 10 years ago during a previous office refurbishment project, where we had worked closely together. So, when she decided to launch her own brand, ChadandWick, she turned to Backstory Co for support.

Our Approach

When Liana initially approached Backstory Co, she had already engaged a separate web developer and copywriter, but sought our expertise to refine her logo, create a cohesive visual identity and define her brand positioning.

Within a few months, the other agency she’d hired fell through, leaving her in a challenging situation. She reached out to Backstory once again, asking if we could step in - and of course, we did. Staying true to Backstory’s agile approach, we devised a staged rollout plan to ensure ChadandWick could enter the market as soon as possible, even before all marketing touchpoints were fully developed.

In just six weeks, we had refined and finalised the logo, established a distinct visual identity, completed a team and project photoshoot, created Instagram templates, launched their social media channels, published a website splash page, developed and finalised a 40pp capability statement, and written all of their website copy. Today, the website is fully launched, and we continue to photograph all of ChadandWick's projects as they are completed. Despite tight deadlines, our ongoing communication with Liana kept the project on track and moving at pace.

As ChadandWick’s marketing partner, Backstory Co will continue to ensure that the bold brand personality remains distinct and unique in an industry of sameness.

Every element - from the colours to the branding to the unique website layouts - were thoughtfully and carefully created, showcasing Liana’s undeniable flair for design. The playful copywriting and quirky headshot photography perfectly reflected the personality of both the ChadandWick team and brand.
